J. L. Matthey Mission Statement
It is our duty to provide every student the opportunity to excel, lead, and make positive decisions as young adults. We will provide a safe, orderly environment filled with dynamic lessons and activities that will enable our students to become lifelong learners and positive contributors of society.

"Grease-the school version"
will be presented on Thursday, May 17 at 5:00 p.m. in the Matthey cafeteria. Admission is free! Come and see a great musical performed by the Music and Theatre Arts Students.

Scholar Athletes for 2nd 6 Weeks
The J. L. Matthey Lady Cardinal Coaching Staff would like to congratulate 7th graders Amanda Esparza and Kristina Berlanga as well as 8th grader Norma-Gene Vega for receiving the distinction of being named Scholar Athletes for the 2nd 6 Weeks of the 2011-2012 school year. They were recognized for exceptional performance in the classroom as well as in Athletics. Great job ladies!
